Posture: focus on comfort and function
English guide · Ulaş Tunç Coaching
A photograph is not a diagnosis
Posture varies between people and across the day. Reviews of head and neck posture and pain report mixed findings. An observed association cannot show that one posture caused an individual's pain.
What coaching can do
A training assessment can explore comfortable movement, exercise tolerance and daily demands. The aim is not to hold one rigid position all day or to label every visible difference a defect. Exercise selection and progression should suit the individual rather than a generic posture photograph.
Know the boundary
Persistent or worsening symptoms require appropriate clinical assessment. A coach can respect medical restrictions and help organise a gradual training programme, but cannot diagnose the cause of pain from an app score or image.
