Exercise adapted to your limitations

Training support is not medical treatment
Here, adapted exercise means organising training around your experience, reported limitations and any instructions from your healthcare professional. It is not a diagnosis, physiotherapy service or replacement for treatment.
Start with the individual
Your coach reviews the goal, equipment, previous activity and movements you tolerate. The plan can then use suitable variations and gradual progression. Pain during an exercise does not, by itself, identify a weak muscle, an imbalance or a particular injury.
Work within the right scope
WHO guidance includes structured exercise as one possible component of care for chronic primary low back pain. It calls for person-centred care rather than assuming one intervention fits everyone. This guidance is not blanket permission to exercise through an unexplained symptom. Where medical assessment is needed, obtain it before using a training plan as a solution.
